In the 1990s, in cooperation with my business partner I decided to breathe new life into the run-down Týn Court, also known as Ungelt, which lies in the very heart of Prague, just a few meters from the Old Town Square.

The original medieval merchant's courtyard, which was in its time the center of international trade, gradually lost its significance, until after World War II it became a dilapidated space full of warehouses, workshops, offices and apartments of the lowest category.

At the turn of the 1980s and 1990s, the abandoned Ungelt was already in such a state of disrepair that it had to be closed to the public.

Starting in 1991, my partner and I have gradually started to obtain long-term leases and approvals from the owners – the City of Prague, the Catholic Church, the Jewish community and private restituents – which finally allowed us to begin the reconstruction of the courtyard and seven adjacent buildings.

In 1996, after reconstruction by an investor construction company, the complex was again reopened to the public and became one of the most visited sights in Prague.

The years spent living nearby New York's Central Park inspired me to build the largest luxury residential complex in the Czech Republic, which was created on the edge of the Parukářka Park in Prague’s Žižkov.

The project consists of ten high-rise glass buildings with apartments facing all directions and lined around their perimeters with private terraces. The towers with breathtaking views are complemented by villas with private terraces, grassy walls and roofs, by which high-rise buildings are interconnected.

The project creates a unique microclimate around a private park in its center, which seamlessly connects to the public park.

In 2003, we organized an international competition for the design of the residential complex, which attracted 28 architectural firms from around the world.

The winning project of A69 architects, which connected Central Park with the adjacent Parukářka Park, won the 2010 Grand Prix of Architects – The National Award for Architecture.

The early success of the already one third approved for occupancy and 60% sold out Central Park Praha was followed, however, just six months before its expected completion, by financial failure caused by the dishonest takeover of the project by the Česká spořitelna group.

Notwithstanding the fact that the project has been already over eleven years the subject of litigation, 540 satisfied owners with their families have found in Central Park Praha their new homes.

Nupharo is a unique technology park focused on testing and improving systems for the production of electricity from renewable resources. It is situated in the Ústí nad Labem region along D8 motorway, halfway between Prague and Berlin.

Halls, offices and conference rooms utilizing virtually only renewable energy resources in the built area of 16,000 m² offer an infrastructure for specialized education, development and research of new technologies.

The Park commenced operation in 2015 as a result of many years of effort to fulfill the strictest technical and environmental requirements for a modern technological complex for applied hi-tech research.

At the start of the already completed Nupharo, the majority of shares were held by its statutory representative, Jana Ryšlinková, who left the project due to repeated disagreements.

Subsequently, however, she abused her position, appropriated the shares entrusted her and accused the management and representatives of the strategic investor of unfair practices, which caused them to leave Nupharo.

Ryšlinková’s unwillingness to allow Czech investors to save Nupharo and her interest to derive financial gain as fast as possible as a result of her position, led in 2018 to Nupharo’s filing for bankruptcy. Its questionable sale to the general contractor in 2020 is currently the subject of litigation.
